Every rug in the New Heirloom Collection carries a story as unique as its pattern. Starting with recycled wools and silks, all pieces are hand-knotted to create a rug for the ages. Every pattern is unique, drawing inspiration from different eras as far back as ancient textiles through to mid-century design.
With a rich palette inspired by Qashqa colours, Silk Orchid AJ-581 is made from a combination of Indian wool and hand-spun cocoon silk – two materials that combine to offer natural strength and a lustrous finish. The rug's complex field pattern consists of horizontal rows punctuated with floral motifs. An intensive dyeing and washing process lends AJ-581 exceptional depth of colour and opulence.
