Description
An icon of American furniture design, this vintage 3-LC T-Chair was designed by William Katavolos, Ross Littell, and Douglas Kelley for Laverne International, circa 1950s. With hidden screws, the leather seat is attached to a frame of chromed tubular steel and black-lacquered flat steel to create a striking three-legged chair. Beautifully displaying its original leather, each of T-Chair has a distinctive and unique patina. An Icon of American furniture design, this chair has won awards and is part of the permanent collection held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
William Katavolos, Ross Littell and Douglas Kelley were graduates of the Pratt Institute in New York, who worked in collaboration for six years in designing for Laverne. The T-Chair was one of their most famous designs, with one held in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
